Mojo Ike Woods and Lady Val
Miami Mojo
By William Wirtz
The King and Queen of the Miami blues scene have shined bright in South Florida for over 30 years. Starting out in what was left of the old school chitlin’ circuit clubs, the pair is now expanding their reach around the country and overseas.
Kevin Gullage
Carrying on the Music

Let It Roll
The Allman Brothers Band, Capricorn Records, New York City, March 12–13, 1971
By Jas Obrecht
Lightning sometimes strikes at a live performance when everything clicks and a band collectively rises to heights beyond their norm. Most of the time when this happens no one is recording it, but over two nights in 1971 at New York’s legendary Fillmore East they were. The result is one of the best live albums of all time.
